Therapy for emotional eating
Specialist support to help you improve your relationship with food
I also offerFood is such an important part of life
We eat to fuel our bodies. We eat when we socialise. We eat when we celebrate milestones in our lives. We may even eat and find comfort in food when things are not so great. Sometimes, the ever-present nature of food can feel overwhelming and the emotions we experience can create a lot of noise where the only thing we think about is food.
We might notice that we are drawn to certain foods, and experience a vicious cycle of guilt, shame, and feeling uncomfortable in our bodies. This vicious cycle can make us feel self-conscious and prevent us from doing the things we love in life; it can also affect our self-worth and how we fuel our bodies.

I do not tell you what to eat, nor do I provide diet plans or specific dietary advice. Food therapy is a service to support you to overcome emotional eating and to gain confidence in making food choices that feel right for you.
However, we may broadly explore foods but specifically through the lens of intuitive and mindful eating.
-
I work with clients who emotionally eat to support them to improve their relationship with food.
I also provide counselling for clients that are experiencing anxiety, stress, low-mood or depression.
Unfortunately, I do not work with people who have a confirmed clinical diagnosis of an eating disorder. However, support can be accessed via your GP or via the eating disorder charity BEAT.
-
The counselling service I provide is not an emergency service however, help is available.
If you feel you are at risk, are experiencing a crisis or feel in danger, please seek immediate help by contacting 999 or making your way to your nearest A&E.
Alternatively, your GP can be contacted or medical advice sought from NHS 111.

Absolutely! Please submit a contact form and we can arrange a free 20-minute discovery call where you can ask any questions and explore how we can work together to ensure I am the right counsellor for you.
Kind words from my clients...
I feel able to see the wood through the trees and have realised how important it is to prioritise my needs and spend time with the people I love.
Ben has been a beacon of light in a storm and I genuinely believe I would not have regained mental balance without him.
You really listened and got it. I felt so anxious when we first started, but I feel I’m getting a grip on it now.
